Helen is the firm’s consultant with extensive academic and practice experience in the creative and innovation industries. She posseses nearly two decades of experience in academia, specialising in intellectual property law.
Helen holds an LLB from the University of Calabar, an LLM from the University of Lagos, and a PhD in intellectual property law from the University of Cape Town. Her expertise in intellectual property law is reflected in her teaching experience, including specialised programmes for creatives. Helen has published both locally and internationally and serves as Assistant Editor of the NIALS Intellectual Property Journal (NJIP).
Helen is currently Associate Professor of the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies. Helen’s international scholarly experience includes research fellows at Osgoode Hall Law School, York University; the University of Ottawa and the University of Cape Town. She currently coordinates the Harvard CopyrightX courses in Nigeria.
Before joining the law firm, Helen has practiced law for over two decades.
