L&A Legal Consultants have a keen interest and play a key role in the IP industry in Nigeria. It was crucial for our team to be in Abuja for the Art, Culture and Creative Economy Roundtable. Two of our partners Tunde Laoye and Professor Ayoyemi Lawal-Arowolo were in attendance. They had the pleasure of meeting the Honourable Minister Hannatu Musawa and her Principal Adviser Faiz Imam. The highlight of the meeting was the enthusiasm of the minister to deliver the roadmap which we term as considerate and reasonable, ensuring stakeholders at all levels monetize their intellectual properties and receive adequate protection. Without a doubt, the creative sector is going to experience a turn around for the best, now and in the future. Later in Lagos, another partner Seye Lawal and Tunde Laoye were at a gallery (Soto Gallery) visited by the Minister and her Principal Adviser. We do not see anything stopping them from their mission and we are ready for the ride to make creativity make money.
